**Through Nature Ourselves Revealed**
Dearest readers and contributors,
We’re grateful you made it here and we’re excited to share the myriad of work that came out of this project. What follows is the result of a 48 hour zine challenge prompting a dialogue between creator and the natural world with the aim of witnessing ourselves through a mirror that is both ubiquitous and cleverly minuet in its refinement. I’ve always felt a distinct sensitivity to the so-called natural world and the deeper I permit myself to explore and create in echo with it the more palpably I’m able to reflect on my own being with a sense of majesty and intrigue. There are oracles in the shapeshifting nuance of cloud, meaningful gesture in the lady bug that greets us, orchestral intensity in the whistling leaves and so too the secrets they animate in their spinal rot come fall. I crave the poetry in nature and luckily it is everywhere. The water and air within us, the lineage of our webbed fingers and toes, the sun and moon that never fail to greet us. The majesty that ebbs under our noses is always there for us to come home to in worship and inquiry and we invited this inquiry to be shared within our networks.

This project was ushered in at a time when we were all negotiating global quarantine as a result of covid-19. Though circumstances varied greatly what’s certain is the architecture of all our lives had been restructured and condensed seemingly overnight. We wanted to contribute a creative invitation to call one another back to ourselves despite our circumstances and invite an entanglement with forces of magick outside our personal internal realms. The assignment was to create in dialogue with the natural world with curiosity and experimentation to be carried out within a 48 hour window. Mediums both familiar and foreign were encouraged but the main intention was one of creation without refinement where curiosity and play could more easily flourish. The result of this open call is inspiring and varies greatly from naming the dissonance of the urban sprawl amidst a pandemic to simply finding time to sink into ones garden. It seems strangely appropriate to be releasing this now as we are freshly back in lockdown here in Germany as we were when the project began. There is both a print and web version of the zine. Sound and video work are catalogued in the print version though can only be viewed in full online. Thank you to all the contributors for taking the time to explore and share with us. We wish you happy viewing and please write to us with any questions or feedback about the work and project. Wishing you all the access to the magick that exists in our daily lives amidst everything else. Big big love.
